i'm amy - i'm 18 - i live in ottawa ----- i love to sing classical&choral vocal - music//i'm depressed - i love poetry, literature, and philosophy//i have obsessive-compulsive disorder - i love being around people//i have social anxiety disorder ----- i believe in openness and honesty about mental health - our suffering should not be compounded by the current stigma facing sufferers of mental illness.----- i believe that the end of this stigma and prejudice will begin with the banishing of shame from our own respective self images.----- despite of - or perhaps because of - our unique mental conditions, sufferers of poor mental health have risen past hardships and met - or even exceeded - the expectations placed upon functioning members of society. we have shown flairs of creativity, burts of imaginative intelligence, and even simply the ability to succeed in daily life while suffering from a mental illness.----- i see no cause for shame - i see a time for change.----- by the way i'm amy.. i'm 18.. i live in ottawa.. but i've said all of that..----- <3
